In-document hyperlinks not working when highlighter applied

Hi all & Tracker team,

just found out that when in a PDF document that contains in-document hyperlinks (jumps to another page e.g. by means of hyperlink-underlined text), after a hyperlink additionally has been highlighted with the highlighter tool, the hyperlink does not work anymore.

Maybe this can be fixed in a future release.

By the way, as soon as PDF-XChange Viewer Pro gets the feature of adding hyperlinks to selected text, I'm ready to dump Adobe Acrobat Professional (except for the occasional OCR'ing of scanned PDF's).

Lastly, can we add a tooltip that shows the text comment inside a text highlighter (if any) on mouseover -- in order to save quite a lot of mouse-clicking to see that text?

I'm not too surprised that hyperlinks underneath highlighting don't work. You can use underlining instead

We already have rectangle and quadralateral link tools with which you can add links to documents.

Into build 40 we will handle hyperlinks prior to other comments, so, they will work even if there is any comment over.

And into the same build (40) tooltips for comments will be available.

True! I wasn't aware of this. However, in Ad*be Acr*bat, I use the "select text and create a hyperlink on that text selection" about a thousand times before I actually use the rectangle link tool one single time...

Therefore, my strong vote remains, for the addition of a text link tool in PDF-XChange Viewer,

Command "Create Link" will be added into context menu of selected text.
