Links near together - wrong link is activated

I have a PDF with many links near together. In PDF-XChange the clicking area is some pixel greater than the link rectangle. So the clicking areas of two links are overlapped. If I click in the lower part of a link, then the link below is activated.

I have attached an example: In PDFXC-Links2.gif the finger of the mouse cursor is over "103-2356", but the wrong link below "103-2357" is activated.

Hmm with a small zoom level it really seems like they are overlapping and it's a bit hard to click the correct one, while with a more comfortable zoom that allows me to distinguish them I was not able to make it click on the "wrong" one.

Will pass this ti the dev guys so they can have a look.

After discussing this with the development team the "problem" is this:
When determining whether the mouse pointer is over an annotation we are using a bit wider area than the actual dimensions of the annotation - this is causing a problem in your case with the small links close together but is really valuable when trying to target a line or a rectangle without fill colour. This behaviour is there in an attempt to ease and increase precision when working with annotations in our Viewer, so it is unlikely to get "fixed" as it will cause more trouble in more situations than the one it will fix.

Sorry it's not great news but if you zoom up a bit (Ctrl + mouse wheel up) you should be able to target the correct link in it's middle as this "extra" space is just one pixel wide and remains one pixel no matter the zoom level.

Hello Stefan,

I want to integrate your ActiveX Viewer plugin into our order application, so our customer can scroll through the catalogue and click on part numbers. But I'm afraid, that our customer sometimes click on the wrong part number.

I already tried to reduce the size of the link rectangles. But this works only for one zoom level.

It would be nice, if I could disable this feature in the ActiveX plugin.

Is there a hidden property, that I could change, to disable the wider areas of links and annotations?

Hit-testing logic for links annotation is changed in the next build of the viewer.
