Opera Plugin is Broken

No menus will stay open. Stamps flyout won't stay open, so the PDF plugin is unusable.

Opera's PDF-XChange plugin path is

C:\Program Files\Tracker Software\PDF Viewer\npPDFXCviewNPPlugin.dll

Plugin version is 2.0.0054.0000 file date in Explorer is 31/12/1999 (sic) but digital signature gives date as 9th July 2010.

I tried reinstalling PDF-XChange Viewer from the downloaded executable installer.

It is not a bug, it is 'feature'

The reason doing this (I mean, changing date of the file) - is to workaround FireFox's algorithm of choosing plugin which should be used for files where there are more than one - FF uses older.

The old date may be a feature, but the plugin is still broken — none of the menus or flyouts will stay open.

We will fix it urgently. Please wait a little.
As temporary workaround: in the Opera switch on the classical menu by [Opera/File/Show Menu Bar] command.

Thanks for your speedy testing and reply — it is indeed a bug in the plugin. As you say it works if the default menus are enabled in Opera.

Any news on this? I am currently using the Foxit Reader plugin since that is preferable to showing the menu bar and therefore the title bar in Opera.

Our major development efforts are indeed going into Version 3 and the rate of Version 2.x releases has and will continue to slow, with them only being offered in the event of substantial issues/problems being found and perhaps a few minor releases where deemed appropriate - with one important exception....

We will make an important V2.5 release available in the coming week or 2 if all goes well and this will have the final major NEW feature releases of the V2.x cycle - we are keeping the actual features to ourselves for now for commercial reasons.
