How to create PDF Forms with version 5

Post by facozinc facometal sa »

Hi,
I am new user and just bought pro version 5.
I would like to know how to create a PDF form.
I am using Office 2010 and I see a old post in 2009 that was not possible.
Could you help me please ?
I've bought Pro version as it was in the feature possible to create forms.
Regards,

Johann.

Hello Johann,

Unfortunately there's no way for you to currently create a fillable form with our products, but V3 of our Viewer is almost ready, and we are working on a forms creation plug-in for it that would be available later in the new year.

Best,
Stefan

Any update on this?

I just bought V5 as well to get this functionality, based on previous version experiences and the clear production highlight stating "Convert MS Office Web Forms to interactive Adobe PDF Forms". Now, it seems like it doesn't really support this, atleast not with a current and supported version of MS Office.

Is there any alternative to create a form using content from an MS Word doc? I'm fine with rebuilding the form if needed, but I need it in an editable PDF form.

Thanks,
Todd

Hi Todd,

the 'Forms Builder' that would do this is still planned, most likely as a plugin. It's just the timing that is the question right now. While the plugin to have forms building from scratch isn't planned for the initial Gold release, it will support simple modification to existing forms, things like copying and renaming form fields for example.

I hope that helps.
Best regards
