Getting Office2PDf Out of the Way
I am using Office2PDF with Office 2007 and am experiencing a couple of problems. My PDFXchange 4.0 setting are set to create and e-mail a secure PDF with Outlook. One problem I'm experiencing is PDF XChange takes over control until you send the message that Office2PDf opened. What I mean by control is I cannot perform any other function within Outlook until I send the message. If I do try to perform another function without first sending the message I get constant beeps. Another problem I'm experiencing is since I kept getting these beeps I thought I'd save the message in my Drafts folder and send it later so I could perform another Outlook task. When I save the message Office2PDF originally opened and attached the PDF, it gets saved in my In Box rather than my Drafts folder (My Drafts folder is specified in my Outlook settings). I'm starting to think that the version of Office2PDF that ships with PDF XChange 4.x was released too soon. Has anyone else experienced these issues and have you found a solution or at least a work-around?

I'm suspecting that this problem has no relation to PDF-XChange at all. It looks like this is normal behaviour for Outlook. You can try to bypass this problem by sending emails directly from PDF-XChange (by specifying SMTP server).

Re: Getting Office2PDf Out of the Way
Thanks very much for the info. After reviewing several other PDF creation solutions that function within Office 2007, none of them except PDFXchange exhibit this problem. I don't like to use the bypass solution because many times, I need to included a personalized message with my PDFs.
I've also found another problem whereby Office2PDF incorrectly saves your messages (in the case where you may want to save the message instead of sending it at the time of creation) inside of your InBox instead of within the Drafts folder. Tracker needs to some work on PDFXChange to correct these problems. I hope their developers are closely monitoring this forum.

You are already in touch with Tracker Software (Corwin is a member of the Tracker staff in our development office) - so I assure you we are taking note ...
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

Well, Corwin, why do three other competing products not exibit this problem of taking control and not letting go until I save or send the e-mail mesage? And, why does PDF Xchange save my message in the InBox instead the Drafts fodler?

Corwin,
Don't worry about replying. I gave up and just purchased PDF Converer from Nuance. This PDF converter (available from the Office ribbon) does not take over control from Outlook and it saves the message into the Drafts folder. I'm requesting a refund for PDF XChange. Note: we've also discoverd an incompatiblity between PDF XChange and PowerPoint.
