Hi,
On Windows 2008 Citrix 5/Terminalserver the normal User are not able to load the Com Add-in PXCOfficeAddin4.dll (or also PXOfficeAddin.dll Version 3.6) in Word 2007. The Information from the Add-in is "Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-in." and the add-in could not load manual - message "This add-in is installed for all users on this computer, and can only be connected or disconnected by an administrator." Administrator is able to load the ADD-IN.
Howto enable the normal user to load the add-in ?
Best Regards,
Michael

Re: User not able to load PXCOfficeAddin4.dll
Hi Micael,
Can you please confirm that you have the latest release - version 4 build 185 - available from the printers list -> right click preferences and then the 'About' TAB
You may also need to set the security specifically in Word to allow the PDF-XChange Addin to function - I believe this is under the 'Tools' menu.
Thanks.

Re: User not able to load PXCOfficeAddin4.dll
Hello,
checked. Use Version 4 185. The problems seems to be that the user have no write access to the registry HKLM. Why try the non-Adminuser to write anything to the HKLM ? Is there a option to install it on the Terminalserver without the user have to write something to HKLM ?

Hi,
I have asked the dev manager responsible to take a look at the implications of this and advise if we can modify to allow the installation to restrict the use of Admin only Reg Keys in this regards - will advise as soon as possible.

Hi Michael,
just a heads up that while we will try to get this into the next build it may not be possible until the following one. We'll know more as we approach the release of build 57.
Just thought you'd like to be forewarned.
