Slow image loads since build 312 SOLVED

40 seconds is to long to wait for page 3 of a 5 page (2MB) pdf to load to it's final image. This happens with build 313.1, 315, 316, 316.1, & 317.1. My co-worker has build 312, and the page loads in about 3 seconds. Just changing the zoom with the newer builds is painfully slow.

The problem seems to be with files created using Bluebeam. Your Viewer 2.5.313.1 displays at least 10 times faster than Editor. I have attached another file. Compare the display of page 3 using Viewer and Editor.

Actually, on the hand of the example file "WHITEHEAD_BP Set_Oct 02.pdf", I can only confirm that there is a significant difference in rendering-speed between PDF-XChange Viewer and Editor. The Viewer is lot faster.

Maybe there is a particular setting that is playing a role in this, or the way of rendering is very different between the two PDF-XChange applications.

Sorry for the lack of response - I've reproduced the same here and have created an internal development ticket to track the progress of the issue (RT-3562).

This problem should be due to the fact that whatever software that created the PDF in question literally cut every bitmap in like thousands of separate objects of almost single pixel size, see also the "Contents" pane (File -> View -> Other Panes -> Content) that lists about a zillion (or million) objects on page three alone.

That as may be, the Viewer still renders the pages far quicker than the Editor and this should probably be fixed.
