Can't open files without local Adminrights

Post by heidl »

Hi,

I've recently encountered a strange new problem.

Our user cannot open files anymore, he's getting an "Error [System]: Unknown Error" message. I can close the popup window and the PDF-XChange Editor stays open. But whenever I try to open a new document, the error message reappears.

However, when I start the PDF-XChange Editor as an Administrator, everything works just fine.
  • OS: Win7 Enterprise 64bit
    PDFXC-Version: 6.0 (Build 322.3)
License: Corp World Pack (Enterprise > 75,000)
Is there any kind of logfile available? Any ideas?

Please advice
Thanks

Hi Heidl,

Thanks for the post - Can you please do the following:

1) Export the settings on the affected PC using Edit --> Export Settings.
2) Use Edit --> Reset Settings and test.
3) If resetting the settings fixes the problem, then please send the exported settings for us to check here.

Thanks,
