non ActiveX DLLs for v6 of Core SDK

Post by csterg »

Hello,
I am re-evaluating v6 of the core SDK and i am trying to see whether there are still non-activeX dll files available like there used to be (like pxcview.dll). I can't find any.
We are trying to use the SDK from within Java, and activeX is not easy to use from Java.
Can you please shed some light?
Thank you
Costas

Hello Costas,

We do not plan making the non-ActiveX versions of the Core API and Editor SDK dlls.

Cheers,
Alex

Thanks Alex.
Are you deprecating older versions? Does it make sense to use any older version?

Hello Costas,

The older SDK versions are already deprecated and will not be modified further.

Alex
