Hi Tracker-Forum,
I have already installed the PDF-Tools 6.0 (build 318.1).
from time to time I scan *.TIF documents
each time there are build new subdirectorys with the new TIF`s in a parent-directory (...\arc)
I want to automate the following job:
# scan the ..\arc for new TIF`s
# create searchable PDF-files for each *.TIF
# write the PDF in another directory (or maybe the same)
# delet the TIF`s
# a batch-job would be nice
I did not get it.
Can I do this with PDF-tools?

Tools can automate the process of opening, converting and saving the files, it does not have the capabilities to "scan" your folder for new files. You would need a script to do that. (Powershell, VB, etc), your script could pass the new tiff files to PDF-Tools silently:

Alternatively the Editor can also convert tiff to PDF and it also takes command line arguments:
