export PDF to image > resolution not correct

Post by NilsP »

When I try to export a pdf with PDF TOOLS to an image with a resolution of 300dpi, the result is always an image with 96dpi that is proportionally bigger than the original file.
The dimensions of the document change.
Is there a way to avoid this? Or is it a bug?

Hello NilsP,

Welcome to our forums. The correct number of pixels wil be used in the resulting image so when "printed" at 300 DPI it will have the correct dimensions. Some file formats do not carry information about what DPI should be used on screen or reported - so it will matter if you export to e.g. JPEG or TIFF - please try some of the other image formats available and they should report the image DPI correctly.

Regards,
Stefan
