licensing question

I would like to use the PDF XChange Viewer SDK to allow users to view PDF files inside my web application. What licensing model do I need to purchase in order to receive the rights to do this?

Hi Michelle,

Assuming this will be a desktop application - the crucial question is how many users will you distribute your application too ?

If it is less than 2500 then you would be best placed to purchase our PDF-Tools SDK - as this gives you all the functionality of the PDF-Tools and also a License to use and distribute the Viewer ActiveX or Simple DLL version to 2500 desktop user's - or if the distribution is likely to number 2500 - 7500 the PDF-XChange PRO SDK (which is essentially everything we currently offer for PDF creation and manipulation) would be best.

This way you not only get access to the Viewer SDK and functionality - but our other tools too.

However - if it really is just the PDF-XChange Viewer SDK you need and you cannot foresee at any time the need for the other functionality - and you need more than 2500/7500 desktop licenses - you will need to purchase the appropriate PDF-XChange Viewer SDK to suit your needs.

i.e. : Either the ActiveX or Simple DLL Base viewer SDK versions - which come with 25,000 Client distribution License packs (CDLP's) as a starter - and then extra CDLP's are available as required.

Sure - understood - but you do realise that the Viewer AX or DLL nust be installed on the desktop of the user to function ?
