Documents now secured after updating to v.1.028

Post by mytanami »

Hi

I updated the pdf viewer to version 0028 and some of the documents with which I had no problems in version 0018 are now secured and I am not able to highlight them at all.

Is there a solution to solve this problem?

Thanks
Martin

History of Changes
Build 025
Added PDF-security support in UI. Now the application's UI works in accordance with PDF-permissions.
If the author of the PDF specified that no changes should be allowed, then that should be respected. The solution would be to ask the author to change the permissions, or to publish a new PDF from the existing one, and modify that.

The permissions of the current document are shown on the Document Properties Tab. If Printing is Allowed, then you can produce a new PDF from the secure PDF.

The PDF viewer, or any software, should not allow anyone to circumvent the security permissions of the document, otherwise such security is worthless.
