Hi forum,
I have a PDF file that consists of hundreds of pages of all kinds of different page sizes with lots of different size margins (partially very large margins). To reduce the margins, it's easy to use the crop functions of Adobe Acrobat or PDF-XChange Viewer and remove all white borders. So far so good.
However, now the margins are all zero which doesn't look very good either.
Is there any way to add a certain margin, say like 15mm on each side of every page (note that the pages have all kinds of different sizes and orientations). Printing to PDF (with automatic rotation and rescaling) doesn't seem to help either since this again prints to the very border of every page.
Thanks already for any help,
Cheers David.P

You mean to add 15mm on each side, or increase white space arround used area on the page by 15 mm?Is there any way to add a certain margin, say like 15mm on each side of every page
If first, it is already done by Crop function, but, if second - not yet, but we can add such option to the Crop function into the next build.

Hi Ivan and thank you for your answer.
Thanks already

I don't quite understand the difference -- what I'd like to do is, add like 15mm additional white border around every page of a PDF file. This would be almost as if I'd specify a negative crop margin in the crop dialog. Note however that this should work correctly on pages with different orientation and size inside the respective PDF file.Ivan - Tracker Software wrote:You mean to add 15mm on each side, or increase white space arround used area on the page by 15 mm?

Re: Increase white margin on hundreds of different size pages
Hi,
any solutions on this one?
Similar question from my side, how to add a "simple" white frame/border/etc. around a PDF? Negative crop? Can it be made more obvious if it possible, as part of resize maybe?
Thanks

Re: Increase white margin on hundreds of different size pages
What I usually do is, do a "Resize Pages" to something like 105% -- without resizing the content.

Hello,
As David mentions, the best way to do this at this time is to use the "resize pages" function. Simply specify to resize the page to 105%, and un check the "scale page contents" option, like so: Then after that has been applied, resize again, this time choosing the original page size you were using, and enable the scale page content option, to retain the white border: Kind regards,

Re: Increase white margin on hundreds of different size pages
Just here to confirm the above mentioned two-steps approach.
For anyone searching "add margin around document" or related, this could work for you.
Feature: Resize
Steps:
1. Run Resize first time and Change Paper Size to, e. g., 110 % and unselecting "Scale page content according new page size", thus do not scale
2. Run Resize second time and Change Paper Size to suitable target format (e. g. A4), then select "Scale page content...", now scale the content
