Feature suggestion: Allow user to edit the tab label manually without changing the file name

Let the user manually edit the tab title without changing the file name.
This feature can be very useful in the following cases:
.

1. Often the file name and document title are too long.
   If the label of any tab is too long, it becomes unreadable.
   If the user can manually enter a short title, the readability would improve drastically!
   .
2. The user may need to browse two different versions of the same document.
   In that case, both tabs would show the same title, leading to confusion.
   He can resolve this by manually changing the title of tabs (without changing the file name)
   For example, he can simply change the tab label to "v1" and "v2".

Hello Raindrops,

PDF files do indeed allow you to specify a document title for those. This is stored in the file itself - and the two version of your document as per your example could have two separate titles.
You can set the title from the Document properties windows (Ctrl + D to accessit quickly).

Once you've set unique titles for your files you can force the Editor to always show you those titles instead of the file names by going through Preferences (Ctrl + K) -> General -> Tabs and Windows -> Setup... -> Select the correct option in the drop down menu shown on the image below:

I was forgetting that this is a pdf editor, and so it could edit the properties, including the embedded title!
