Easter-Egg Hunting Season

That time of year is approaching and I wanted to be first!

My Easter-Egg for 2024 is the undocumented hot-keys that are available in the preview window of the Split Pages tool:
H for horizontal splits,
V for vertical splits, and
M for remove splits.

When you open the Split Pages tool, there is no indication of these hot-keys, thus.

But if you hit H or V on your keyboard, you get a split line and the H of Add Horizontal is under-scored, the V of Add Vetical too, and the M of Remove also, all without using the [Ctrl] or [Alt] keys in conjunction.

Using these hot-keys works great and are very helpful in Split Pages even if you have assigned these hot-keys to other operations in the general app.

My only suggestion would be to actually document these hot-key functions in the on-line Product Manual. The other thing about the Split Pages tool that might be better-documented is the way that additional default splits are added 3 points offset from the pre-existing split alternately one side of the original split then the other, which is also very helpful. I forget when this subtle functionality was added or to which update but nice work DevTeam.

Thank you for the report, I have passed this along to both the Manuals team, and our Developers, hopefully this will be properly documented in an upcoming manuals update (Online manuals are great for this), as well as see the underline indicators appear immediately upon opening in a future software update.

That would be Ye-Olde Windows control panel, from way back before we had this new "metro" menu. It still exists in modern Windows devices!
