Forgot How To Close All Pop Up Highlight Boxes in One Fell Swoop
Hi,
I opened a file and all the highlights also have their associated pop up box open.
Usually those open for me just when I double click on a highlight.
I seem to recall there's a way to close them all in one go. That'd be a bit easier than going through the whole file and clicking them closed one by one. Couldn't recall the command / menu where that is.

Hello Radi,
Ah! BLESS you, mate. Somehow...I seem to have LOST the wee OPTIONS gear from my comments pane? I think in my zeal for cusomizing, I must have draged it away.
I was able to get all the pop ups closed by putting the Close All Pop Ups command in another toolbar.
BUT! I'm thinking it'd be nice to have that gear icon BACK in my Comments pane.
What do you think is happening?

Hello SCH,
You may have unintentionally removed it while customizing this toolbar. The command name for this button is cmd.commentsView.options.
You can drag it from Commands in the Customize Toolbars.
Regards,
Radi

Re: Forgot How To Close All Pop Up Highlight Boxes in One Fell Swoop
Hi Radi,
My build is just slightly out of date cuz I needed one wee feature that didn't get kept in the last upgrade ( viewtopic.php?p=176040#p176040 ) and, thus I had to roll back to 9.2/359. Strangely, when I searched the Commands via Customize toolbars...it's not there. Even searched just .options - not there.
AFIK, I could DRAG it from a ribbon if it exists anywhere.
Any ideas?

Re: Forgot How To Close All Pop Up Highlight Boxes in One Fell Swoop
Also, please, is there some way to:
Reset all panes?
Reset all settings? (Which, I'm guessing, would bring back all Pane's default toolbars. Am I right?)

Hello SCH,
You can reset your settings from File -> Manage Settings -> Reset Settings.
You can reset the toolbars from Customize Toolbars. There is a Reset All button in the lower left corner of this window.
Regards,
Radi

Hi Radi,
Ah! Roger that. Thanks, mate.
Any way to reset just the PANES? Or, would I indeed need to do the File -> Manage Settings -> Reset Settings to get this effect?

Hi,
If you like, you can reset the toolbar of one specific pane as follows:
- activate the pane that you like to reset
(= View-ribbon > Panes > Comments OR click the corresponding icon in the Quick Tools toolbar)
- go into "Customize Toolbars" mode
(= right click on whatever toolbar and click "Customize Toolbars" at the bottom of the shortcut menu)
- right click in the toolbar of the specific pane
- click "Reset Toolbar"
- click "Close" in the "Customize Toolbars"-dialog-box
. .
Does that help ?
Kind regards.
Willy
