Forum - Not being sent e-mail notifications of replies

This is a problem with the forum rather than your software.

I have "Always notify me of replies" in my profile, but I do not receive e-mail notifications when someone replies in a thread I have posted in. When I view a thread I have posted in, there is a "Stop watching this topic" hyperlink at the bottom left of the page, so it seems to know I want e-mail replies, but just isn't sending them to me.

I have my profile preferences sent to never notify me, but I checked the Notify me box for this thread just to test the forum.

Are you using a spam blocker, i.e., Webwasher that you may have inadvertenly blocked email from the Tracker notification address?

Maybe the Tracker folks could post the domain the notifications come from it would make it easier to search a "Blocked" list and then unblock it.

Also, when I changed my e-mail address I did get the e-mail saying I need to re-activate my account.

Can I suggest - as you appear to be the only individual with this problem that we delete your account so you can set it up from scratch and see if that corrects ?

Problem solved

After all that, it was my e-mail client automatically filtering the notification e-mail's as the "To" field was empty and so did not contain one of my e-mail addresses.

I never thought to check it originally because I would've expected the To field to contain my forum e-mail address.

You can delete the two test forum accounts: "Deadwood" and "deadwood2"

Not sure if there's a setting in phpbb to specify the To field for e-mail notifications but, if there is, can you set it to the users forum e-mail address.

Also if you not are not receiving notifications - it could be because you have set replies to this topic not to be forwarded to you at some point and perhaps there is an issue with attempting to reset that - so I suggest we both now abandon this thread totally.

Please can you remove my e-mail address from your post.

I do now receive notification e-mails, but the e-mail I receive does not have the To field set in the header. I was just thinking that there may be some sort of setting in phpbb. No biggy though.

Your email address has been removed.

An update to the Forum software is being prepared now - hoping this will contain a fix for this and numerous other minor issues too + some new features.
