Excel 2007 in Word 2007 documents becomes a black block.

I am using Office 2007 and PDF-XChange Lite Driver version 4.0.0, build 0144. When I insert an Excel spreadsheet object into a Word document and print it, the spreadsheet object prints as a black block. I have tried to find print driver settings that affect this, but nothing seems to help. Any advice?
