Autoupdate not working (?)
Since version 42.9, Live Update does not find any updates. I updated to version 44 manually. Now I see that version 46 is available on the download page, but Live Update still says that no updates are available. Is there something wrong with my installation, or did you simply not push the updates yet? (It seemed unlikely that v44 wouldn't be offered through the automatic updater, as it was a security update...) Is this perhaps because I used the MSI installer?

Re: Autoupdate not working (?)
Hi,
I am afraid it is because you use the MSI installer - because the auto update is an exe - this cannot be used to update the MSI install - if you fully uninstall and re-install using the EXE version - in future the Live update will function as expected.

If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

Thanks for the reply---I'll reinstall using the exe installer then.
It would eliminate some confusion if the MSI installer 1. either didn't install the Live Updater at all, or 2. if the Live Updater gave some sort of information/error message instead of simply saying that "no update is available at this time".

Re: Autoupdate not working (?)
IS PDF Xchange suppose to automatically check for updates on its own without one having to remember to use "Check for Updates" ? The reason I ask is that I have this viewer installed on multiple XP and Win7 computers and never seen it autoupdate. I always had to use the Check for Updates in the HELP menu.

Hi frustrated,
by design Auto Update will only check for updates when a user initiates the check. This is a very conscious decision and our users have indicated strong support for this.
