Hello (again) ,
Instead of open a PDF file into an ActiveX control of my VB application, is it possible to launch an instance of PDFX-Change viewer software, and ask it to open the file ?
In others words, is it possible to do all that is described in the PDF-Viewer ActiveX SDK Manual through the PDFX-Change viewer application, instead of a control inside my application ?
We can do this with OpenOffice.org, through API, perhaps it's also the case with PDFX-Change Viewer ?
Edit: of course, I can open a PDF file in the viewer application with a command Shell, but I would like to have a link with the file, for closing it (for example), and this is not possible to do this after a opening command shell (or I have to use another command, such as TASKKILL, to close all PDF files ... dirty solution)
Sincerely ,
Jérémy

Re: Open a PDF in PDF XChange viewer software ?
Hello Jeremy,
Thanks for your inquiry.
I am afraid that out end user Viewer was never intended to provide such extensive control through automated commands, so you will either need to integrate the Viewer AX inside your own project, or allow your users to use their default PDF viewing application for opening PDF files.
Regards,
Stefan

Hello ,
Thanks for your answer.
I would like to use PDFX-Change Viewer, your software is so fantastic
I will use the "TASKKILL" solution with a command shell to close it (it works).
Sincerely ,
Jérémy

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for the kind words!
If that works for you - sure!
Please also take a look at our PDF XChange Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/produc ... nge-editor
It is the successor of the Viewer.
Regards,
Stefan
