Swedish translation

Hi,

As requested, a thread for Swedish translation issues...

Is it possible for you to slightly expand the space for Bookmarks.xcl -> DlgChangeBookmarkCase -> bp.cbc.rbtn.TitleCase and bp.cbc.rbtn.SentenceCase?
There are no single/dual word for this in Swedish language. It will just have to be a short description (31 chars for Sentence Case).

One explanation for the lack of single/dual word, is that we never, ever use Title Case in Swedish language.

Hi eson,

Thanks for the post - can you advise on a rough idea of what you'd like to change this to?

Thanks,

As is, there's room for 23 characters, and I would very much appreciate if you could increase that space to make room for 32 characters.
Off course I could shorten my translation, but that would be a very crippled and poor translation.

Thanks

Hi eson,

Please do send the translation you're contemplating using. I'll need to pass it along as an example.

Thanks,

Do you want the complete file or what? The full application translation is not ready yet.
If you need those two strings only, here they are.

Code: Select all

<text id="cbc.rbtn.TitleCase" h="2C8DBF1B">Inledande versal i varje ord</text>
<text id="cbc.rbtn.SentenceCase" h="B26B2798">Inledande versal i varje mening</text>

Can some one please explain what the below strings are about, and preferable where to find them in gui. I have no clue.

Thanks

Code: Select all

<text id="cmd.btn.downIcon" h="D8641229">Down Icon</text>
<text id="cmd.btn.rollOverIcon" h="8BFDB87B">RollOver Icon</text>
<text id="cmd.btn.upIcon" h="17C9DD65">Up Icon</text>

Here's another one I really don't understand. What is "Test Image Fmt Params"?

Code: Select all

<text id="cmd.testImageFmtParams" h="B16309EB">Test Image Fmt Params</text>

These strings can be found in Properties panel when Form Edit tool is active and push button form field is selected.
For push button in some cases it is possible to specify three different labels and icons - one for each of three possible states - normal (Up Icon), when mouse button in clicked on the button (Down Icon) and when mouse is hovered over the button (RollOver Icon).

It is string for one of our test command. This command is not available in public release and you can ignore it.

So here I am, back with two more mysterious strings...

Code: Select all

<text id="prop.annot.endingScale.end.desc" h="939EDF2B">End Scale</text>
<text id="prop.annot.endingScale.end" h="939EDF2B">End Scale</text>

Hello Eson,

For the line tool you can have endings - and you can control the scale of the ending relative to the line. The attached image has two copies of the same line - with the only difference being that one of them has the end scale set to 250%.

Stefan

Here we go again... two more incomprehensible strings.

Code: Select all

<text id="layout.ScrollTabsLeft" h="B23B9425">Scroll Tabs Left</text>
<text id="layout.ScrollTabsRight" h="AA40041A">Scroll Tabs Right</text>
Thanks

Hello Eson,

When you have multiple files opened - and the space on the tab bar is insufficient to fit them all - two scroll arrows will appear - and those are the tooltips that appear when you hover your mouse over those - please check attached.

Stefan

Hi again,

Hopefully this is my last translation issue.
In PDFAConverter.xcl I have problem with the following strings...

Code: Select all

<text id="msg.fix.remove.alternate_presentations" h="504508D7">Removed alternate presentaions from document</text>
<text id="msg.fix.remove_element_with_zero_cm" h="A33839BA">Removed element with zero transformation matrix</text>
<text id="msg.fix.remove_annot_invalid" h="F94382C8">Removed invalid object from annotation array</text>
<text id="msg.fix.remove_JS" h="60C345B8">Removed JavaScripts</text>
<text id="msg.fix.remove_transparency" h="7E5AEEAE">Removed transparency</text>
...Is it a message that application just removed * object, or is it listing removed objects?

I think I figured it out on my own. The entire translation is complete, and I'm sending the last files after usual review. Next, and final step is error hunting.

Hi guys,

Trying to keep up with development using the new translation tool (6.0.318) here, and found some English I don't understand. Can somebody please explain...

"cmd.item.hardBreakSep" Hard-break Separator
"cmd.item.nonBreakSep" Non-breaking Separator

Hello eson,

With this build you can now place separators between tools on the toolbars. Once such a separator is there - you can right click it and change it's properties as on the attached screenshot.

With the "Non-breaking Separator" selected - this will mean that if this toolbar needs to be "moved" to a new line or compacted - it will not break the toolbar in half, while the other one will allow the toolbar to be "split in halves".
This is similar to "non breakable spaces" that you can add e.g. in a Word document.

Regards,
Stefan
