In PDF Tools v6 I can't see the tool "Export PDF to Plain Text" as shown on the page

On my PC there are only 22 Standard Tools and the above tool isn't there.

If you click on Create button at the top of the window you can create it easily. Look for Export PDF -> Export PDF to Plain Text under Actions Library.

Thanks for the posts - If you're not seeing this option, it's probably because you're using an old release. Please update to the latest release and it should then be available:

That did it. My previous build was only 6.0.317, and it wouldn't do an auto-update. So I downloaded it, updated, and now it works.

Of course it didn't do *exactly* what I wanted - they never do - so now I have to see whether I can parse the result adequately.

If you'd like, you can send both the PDF and resulting txt file and we can take a look here to see if there's anything that we can do to 'clean up' the output.
