Profiles doesn't work

Post by BarryH »

Hi

Well, I've finally got hold of V4!

:D

And I've found my first problem!

It looks like the Profiles don't work.

If I try to add a profile the profile window doesn't update to reflect the change until you leave the window and return where you can then see the newly created profile, but any changes made to the profile don't appear to 'stick'

So, perhaps you can have a look at it?

Thanks.
Best regards
Barry

Thanks, now seems to be working OK.

I have created 4 profiles, one of which is my 'default' profile. I selected this profile whilst setting my printer preferences from the 'Printers and Faxes' window in Control Panel.

As I understand it any printer preferences selected in this way become the default settings for the printer, any subsequent changes to a printer's preferences from a program's print dialog only 'stick' for that session and will revert to the 'defaults' when the program is closed.

Have I got the right idea?
Best regards
Barry

Hi,

Within V4 if you select a profile any place, the profile becomes the common profile for that application (if changes are applied).

And changes made from any application are stored within this profile. Except paper size, DPI, margin and orientation. These settings are determined from the default settings pages (made in the Control Panel) and are specific for the application concerned.

When attaching files to any message - please ensure they are archived and posted as a .ZIP, .RAR or .7z format - or they will not be posted - thanks.
