Is there a way to automatically add every heading/or text in bold as a bookmark

Post by MedBooster »

Is there a way to automatically add every heading (as chosen in Microsoft word before the document was converted to PDF)

Alternatively, is it possible to add everything with a number followed by punctuation:
1.
2.
3.
4.

as a bookmark?

Or maybe add elements with certain criteria as bookmarks? For example only what is in bold/italic?
Wishlist
Bookmarks with page numbers
Optional fixed small icon size in the toolbar
Shift to UNLOCK aspect ratio/i]
Allow more "toolbars" to the title bar
AltGr issues with character input and keyboard shortcuts

Hello MedBooster,

If you are using PDF-XChange Standard Printer, you can set rules for automatic Bookmark generation. You can read more about this here:
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxs ... rks_s.html

If you use the MS Office add-in to convert your documents, you can find the same options in the Bookmarks tab of the settings of the add-in. You can read more about the add-in here:
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxs ... -in_s.html

If you are using PDF-XChange Lite - I am afraid that automatic bookmark generation is not available. However, in this case, you can use the Editor to generate bookmarks once the document is converted. You can do this with the "From Page Text" tool available in the Booksmarks tab of the Editor. You can read more about this feature here:
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxe ... xt_ed.html

Radi
