How can we change the Keyboard Shortcuts?

Post by Jehoshua »

Good evening

we must migrate our ~40 licensed Editor / Plus users from PDF-XChange Viewer to PDF-XChange Editor and we have chosen the PDF-XChange Viewer in the past, because of it's usability: our users (99% are developers working with IDEs all the day) hate to work with the mouse :D

How can we modify / add Keyboard Shortcuts in PDF-XChange Editor?

Thanks a lot, kind regards,
Thomas

I habe found it, the Keyboard shortcuts can not be set as expected in the application preferences,
but it is hidden here:
1. Right Click on any Icon on the Toolbar
2. Select the last item: Customize Toolbars
3. Change to the "Command" Tab in the "Customize Toolbars" window
4. Select a command and then, select Properties

Hello Jehoshua,

You are correct, this is the way you can customize each command/tool's shortcut. This and more customization options are described in the following article:
How do I Customize toolbars in the Editor
