I suggest adding the ability to search simultaneously in several folders, drives, or even all local and network drives. Currently, when you try to select My Computer as the location to search for files, you receive the error message "Open File. You can t open this location using this program. Please try a different location."
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thank you for the suggestion, it is one we have seen before, allowing search or multiple directories in a group, and one which is more complicated that it sounds. It is still up for consideration, but I have not heard tell of it being in the works as of yet.

I just now found the topic “Search Operation: option of specifying multiple files/folders for the input” (viewtopic.php?t=40698), which for some reason has the status “SOLVED”, as if you answered in it that this sentence will never be executed, or this functionality has already been implemented. Did you not assign an internal tracking number to this request so that users could find out about the availability of the corresponding opportunity in the version history?

The "solved" flag is one which the topic owner sets, not one we often set ourselves (though on rare occasion we might do so).

It is generally left for anyone who creates a thread, to flag that they have accepted the answer which was provided, not to indicate that action has occurred on our end, nor to state that a feature has been implemented/rejected.

Beyond that, no ticket exists for this item because while it has come up a number of times, the Dev team have not requested a tracking number for it as of yet.
