Hello,
We recently noticed some documents, typically emails that have been printed to pdf in mac os open blank with the "some problems have been found and corrected error:
- Errors detected in the XREF table"
Opening the same file in other editors including Mozilla Firefox is fine with no issues
Is there someway to switch this auto "correction" off.
Current build rolled out to our 100,000+ users: 9.5 build 368.0 Editor Plus. O/S Windows 10.
These files have opened fine previously.

Re: Errors detected in xref table
Hi, bilbopdf
indeed we warn about this where others ignore it. If you turn the warning off then our Editor will function the same as Adobe, that is it will then not "bug" you when such a file is found, it will silently fix it next time the document is saved. Note that a change needs to be made to the document or Save As used to trigger saving and "fixing" the document. If no changes are made, the error will remain, you just won't be told about it.
This is the default most applications do, we however feel that yo should be informed of these issues with your documents and it is up to you to suppress that message.
In the preferences is a category "Document Info Bar" and the item for this is the "Broken Document" one:
The Editor had an Active Directory Administrative Template https://help.pdf-xchange.com/sysadmin/e ... lates.html and there is a policy to enforce this for all users: https://help.pdf-xchange.com/sysadmin/e ... o-bar.html
Maybe take a look at that and let me know if yo have any questions pushing the policy?
Kind regards,
Paul - Tracker Supp

Re: Errors detected in xref table
Hi Paul, the problem is that pdf-xchange's corrections are making the documents blank, but this does not happen in any other reader I've tested.
Many thanks

Hello bilbopdf,
Can you send us one of the problematic files to: support@pdf-xchange.com so we can check what exactly the problem is?
Regards.
