There is a somewhat odd behavior regarding the current page in the document toolbar when two pages are displayed side-by-side mode. This report is divided into three major parts, but I believe they are all related, so I will report them together in this topic.
- When the current page is an even number of pages, changing the display mode alternately between single page and two pages side-by-side causes the current page to go back one page. Please see the verification video for more details. In particular, note the change in the current page in the document toolbar.
- Turn the pages over to page 10 in single page mode. Confirm that the current page in the document toolbar is page 10.
- Change to two pages side-by-side mode. Verify that the current page in the document toolbar has changed to page 9.
- Change to single page mode. Page 9 will be displayed, one page before the page 10 that was originally displayed in Step 1.
- When the destination page of a bookmark is an even-numbered page, in two pages side-by-side mode, the current page in the document toolbar is the odd-numbered page one page before the specified even-numbered page. Therefore, as reported in Issue #1, when the display mode is changed alternately between single page and two pages side-by-side, the current page reverts to the odd page one page before the destination page of the bookmark. See the verification video for more details. Again, note the change in the current page in the document toolbar.
- Change to two pages side-by-side mode.
- Select a bookmark and navigate to the page. The bookmark has page 10 set as the destination, but the current page in the document toolbar is page 9.
- Change to single page mode. Page 9, one page before page 10, which is the destination of the bookmark, will be displayed.
- If the current page is an even-numbered page, when you create a link starting from the even-numbered page, the link returns to the original page after specifying the destination of the link, but the current page is not the original even-numbered page, but the odd-numbered page one page before. Therefore, if you try to copy multiple links to the same page using a shortcut key, even if you copy and paste the link thinking that the current page is on an even page, the current page has actually changed to an odd page one page before, so the link is unintentionally pasted to the odd page. To paste the link to an even page, you need to move the current page forward by one page using the arrow cursor keys. We need to be careful because the operation method needs to be changed depending on whether the current page is odd or even.
See the verification video for more details. Again, please note the change of the current page in the document toolbar.
- In two pages side-by-side mode, turn the pages over to page 10 by using the arrow cursor key.
- Create a link starting from page 10 in the link creation mode. You can specify any action for the link. I use named destinations frequently, so I specify a named destination to another file in the verification. Whichever action you set, you will return to the original page after setting it, but make sure that the current page is not the original page 10, but page 9, which is one page before. Therefore, if you copy and paste the link using the shortcut key without changing the current page, the link will be pasted to page 9.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
