to see those changes, you need to enable "logical page numbering" specifically, from the preferences menu (Ctrl+K)

Daniel, Thank you for the information. I checked "Use logical page numbers" under "Page Display" preferences and now Number Pages is working. By the way, this forum times out way too quickly. I have lost several post because by the time I click on Submit to post, I am logged out and lose what I just typed.
