Autoformatting

Post by Vanitas »

Is it possible to add some kind of rule as the following?

I would like that each time I type a particular word, for example "eatapple" this becomes automatically EATapple. Is it possible?

Thank you!

Hello Vanitas,

No - we do not have such rules, and I am not aware of any other PDF software offering it for e.g. general text that you type in say a typewriter object.
Form fields can have formatting rules applied to them, but you will need regular expressions and JS knowledge to be able to utilize that fully. So if it is a form that you want someone else to fill - you can e.g. space out digits they enter so that they appear as if on a paper form that has boxes, so that you can have one field that covers the whole number input and format it as on paper.
I presume the same could be applied to the lower/Upper case of characters in the string. Form fields however can't have Italic in them.

Kind regards,
Stefan
