Hi,

is it still impossible to save settings?
I want to to embed all document used fonts when I create a PDF.
I set it in settings, but when I create a new document, settings
are lost and I have to set them again.

Hi,

Cabn you confirm you are doing this fromt he control panel before opening up the application you wish to use - for the most part - if you do it haviong already opened the application - these changes are treated as temporary for the life of the applications curent use - as soon as closed - the changes are lost - if you use the Control Panel -> Printers Faxes -PDF-XChange -> Right Click -> Printer Prefrences option - change and apply - and then open the applciation - changes should be permanent.

If not - please come back with specifically what changes you are making and we will investigate further.

Thanks

Can't find a tab, where I can change the settings for using fonts.

Hi,

Select PDF-XChange from your printers list - right click - > Printer Preferences (not Printer properties) - you will now see 'Fonts' as one of the page offerings on the right - provided you have PDF-XChange Standard or Pro - but not PDF-Xchange Lite.

Hope that helps

Ah, thanks! I found it but it seems to have no effects.
OK, after that, I opened a Word-Document (2007), swiched to the preferences Button and hoped that the option for fonts embedding is enabled - but it isn't! :-(

I found out the following facts:

1. Made configuration of Printer Preferences as you told me and saved them.
Image

2. When I open a existierend Word 2007 document the option is not enabled. So converting will be happen without font-embedding.

3. When I create a new Word document, the option is set.

So - to save settings under "printer and fax" has just effects, if one creates a new Word document.
In my opinion - that's not good.

(Is it very difficult to understand my fu .... bad English??? )

Please send me what is located into the registry under path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDF-XChange 4.0\Office Addin

And please check if you have permissions to write into the registry by this location.

Sorry, trouble reproduced and fixed. Fix will be available into the next build.

Trouble occurs when document was opened from from explorer by double-click. When document is opened via Word's Open command, there are no troubles.
