Hi!

If I under The Save option in printer Preferences select MyDocuments for the path it includes my userID (C:\Documents and Settings\seat11859\My Documents.
When I export this profile (because I want to import it on another users computer) he gets the path with my userID. The userIDpart should be %username% if this are going to work and be changed to the importing userID at import. Otherwise when he use the printerprofile it creates a path to the path from my user and the document is saved there not in his My Documents.

What you se in the picture is the same on the Export and the Import side.

I believe you are correct in your observation. Are you asking to be able to edit the path directly in the text field to use the variable rather than be restricted to the browse button?

I'll ask the dev team about this if this is indeed what you are asking.

1. When I select My Documents for the path I want the path to look like this:
C.\Document and Settings\%username%\My Documents

2. The export routine should NOT replace the %username% with the actual userid.

3. After import on another computer the path should still look like:
C.\Document and Settings\%username%\My Documents

This because this setting is for all the users on the computer.

thanks for those extra details. We have a work item open for this issue. RT#574: ACAD and strip path from file name issue. The team are working on it but a fix has not been completed. We will continue to work on this and post here when we have something.
