PDF-XChange Drivers API provides Developers with a comprehensive set of Virtual Drivers to generate Adobe® compatible PDF files from their software applications using our best selling PDF-XChange print drivers for Windows 2000 & Later (32/64 bit). When using these drivers you can be sure that the files you generate offer the most highly compressed/optimized PDF files available from any general PDF virtual driver - smaller size files generated quickly and efficiently. STOP PRESS: Now includes PDF Viewing functionality ! Virtually all the functionality of our 'End User' versions of PDF-XChange are controllable by the developer - for more information on what you can do please download the SDK evaluation - Clarion Developers should download the Clarion Evaluation. We also provide a complete 'slimmed' down Client installers (both 32 & 64 bit Drivers included) for you to provide to your clients - or wrap within your own desired installation process (silent installation supported) - you must use this installer as it contains a mechanism to ensure that unlicensed use is not possible in 'open' mode without generating evaluation PDF's, it also ensures safe and correct installation (silently if required) for Windows 2000 and later, TS and Citrix Metaframe supported. Clarion Developers have the choice of using our generic toolkits, or our Clarion specific SDKs which offer Clarion specific Help and Examples, along with comprehensive classes and templates for all versions of Clarion from C5b and up, making its major functions simple to incorporate into their project. |
Demo Limits
Evaluation versions of our SDK software are fully functional, allowing the testing and full utilization of all SDK features, Developers need to be aware that any test documents will have a demo watermark placed on every page of any PDF created or modified with the evaluation versions.
We recommend which ever option you decide is best suited for your needs - that you use the evaluation SDK's to the maximum prior to purchase to ensure satisfaction and only purchase when ready to recompile you completed application ready for distribution to your clients - with your license strings, to remove the demo watermarks restrictions.
Please note: Developer SDK's cannot be refunded once licensing is issued!
Licensing
The PDF-XChange Drivers API SDK allows developers to build applications for the Creation & Viewing* and Printing* of PDF files. Please see the PDF-XChange/PDF-Tools SDK license included in the evaluation download for detailed information on terms and conditions and allowed usage, the core principle in regards allowed use age being that developers are free to us the products as they wish - provided the applications created are not competing with our own end user products and are not designed and incorporated in any application designed as a general purpose PDF creation, Manipulation or Viewing tool. If your application is designed for a vertical market, there is unlikely to be any conflict of interest. If in doubt - please do contact us for clarification.
* These options rely on the use of the PDF-XChange Viewer SDK for which limited use is bundled with this SDK and for which distribution limits apply - if you need to distribute your viewer enabled applications to more than 2500 end user desktops, the purchase of extended Viewer SDK licensing will be required. I have tested about 10 other printer drivers and this one is clearly the best. It has all the features I needed and the API is very convenient and well documented. What's more, for the past 2 years I have been using this product, the company has provided excellent and fast support.
