Please note :
The PDF-XChange Viewer is not designed to create new PDF files from 3rd party document formats such as MS Office, Internet Explorer etc - if you wish to create NEW PDF files from Windows applications (any that can print to paper) then choose one of our Virtual Print drivers below - the PDF-XChange Viewer is designed to create PDF files only from images - or to scan new pages from your scanner - as well as View/Modify/Annotate etc - existing PDF files!
We recommend all users who need to ask which version to download - use the exe/zip installers (the only difference is one is wrapped in a zip file as some download management software will block '.exe' files) as this will correctly sense and install for the Windows version you use, MSI installers do not and you must be sure you download the right version - for the operating system your system uses.

MSI Installer Options - who should use ?
The easiest answer to this is if you are not sure - do not use these installers - they are aimed at corporate system administrators - not general users, so if you are not sure - use the default installer provided and not the MSI installer option !!!
BETA Releases - who should use?
We will periodically be offering a Beta release of the latest PDF-XChange Viewer, this will be available to all and will be updated as may be useful, meaning the alternative 'stable' releases will be offered less frequently than has been the case to date. It is recommended that this is used by advanced users only who are comfortable using beta software and aware that it may contain issues and bugs - but accept this and would prefer to take advantage of the latest functionality available. We suggest this should not be used by corporate users with large installed client bases unless specifically recommended to do so by a member of our Support team.
FREE OCR Support
The new OCR functionality available at no charge in both the free and licensed PDF-XChange Viewer, requires the use of build 200 of the Viewer or later. By default the installations includes 4 default language support (English, French, German & Spanish). Additional Language Extension packages are available here:

If PDF-XChange Viewer build 200 or later has been installed without the OCR Base Languages support, the Base Language Pack will need to be downloaded and installed prior to any other of the available language packs.

The new FREE OCR feature rocks. I've been trying to OCR my pdf Cad drawings using other standalone OCR softwares but repeatedly failed especially when the size is bigger than A3 size.
Can you add batch processing so that the more repetitive tasks like printing, ocr etc is faster.
Thanks for a great product which has now permanently replaced Acrobat on my pc.

I've used PDF-XChange Viewer (Free) for the past three to four years. This is the only PDF Viewer product that I would think of using. It's solid, reliable and very easy to use. Today was the first time I really wanted to edit a PDF file and I could see that PDF-XChange Viewer's PRO features could do what I wanted. I had no hesistation in buying the PRO licence. Now, what was already a great product for me is now a fantastic product for me. I have no reservations in recommending this software; it enhances office productivity on your PC or on the move with the Portable version. GrahamG, Cambridge, UK

Finally I've found exactly what I wanted! I've just installed this program, and it works great. I ran across this software accidentally while looking for a "PDF Editor." All the other programs I found wouldn't even let you insert text into the document but PDF-XChange Viewer does all that plus more. Talk about a smart piece of software that just works the way it should.

I have used PDF Xchange Viewer since when Adobe ruled the world about 10 years ago or so. Have been a sincere user of this app. I can't think of any other PDF viewer that has so much capability than this one. This one is a keeper folks. Adobe is a big time bloatware, more like an anchor. Kudos to the team.

The best since sliced bread. What I like most, besides the great interface and tools, is that it not as ANNOYING as ADOBE. Seems like Adobe updates and installs stuff constantly, and slowing things down. This program is GREAT. I've been using the free version for quite some time and it is "the cat's meow"!!!!
