Re: Bug: opening tiff file?

gpxi,

I know this is an old post but I'm wondering if you could post a sample of your VB6 code that uses the PXC_AddImageExA call and how you handle the pointer to the array of images?

Thanks

Create Simple Text PDF

I'm looking for some code to create a simple page that says something like 'Image' 'Unavailable' in the center of the page. The text needs to be able to have at least 2 lines and possibly three lines ... would contain CR & LF to designate line breaks I have a program that needs to generate this ...

Re: xccdx40.dll error

Where do I get the copy of 205? The last build I have has a date of I think 4/18/12. I don't have access to the server right now to confirm the version number but I remember the that being sometime in April of this year. Also the problem is that I can't reproduce error .. it happens in frequently bu...

Re: xccdx40.dll error

Here is the zip file. If you allow .zip why not allow .zipx? It would be nice if you had those files listed on the upload form.

xccdx40.dll error

Howdy, I'm getting an error on one of my servers. I'm using your components in a vb6 com component running in COM+ and used in an ASP website. When this error occurs I'm getting a "COM Surrogate" message and dump. I can not attach the dump files because the extension are not allowed to be ...

Blank PDF from Tiffs

Howdy I am attaching a zip file of some tiffs and the resulting PDF when I try to combine them. I can post the code if you want but it is code that combines many other tiffs to PDF just fine.

If you can let me know.

Thanks

Re: Application Error

I guess I can compile a specific version of the app and deploy it. I have logging in this application but activity on this site makes pinning things down very difficult. At this point I can't tell when or what causes this to happen. Let me see what I can gleen from some specific logging. Thanks David

Re: Application Error

Also just wanted to confirm here are the dll's that are deployed with this application:

dscrt40.dll
fm40base.dll
fm40tiff.dll
ixclib40.dll
pxclib40.dll
xccdx40.dll

I'm not sure that this has any bearing on it but thought I would post this as well.

Thanks

Re: Application Error

Howdy, The error is still occuring, but it is behaving a little differently. It is showing up in the application log as an Information Item instead of an error. This is running on a Windows 2003 R2 Standard Edition. I can't pin down any specific image that this might be having a problem with becuase...

Re: Application Error

Howdy, The link you provided (https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/downloads/sdk) goes to the page for PDF-XChange Viewer Simple DLL SDK. I'm not using the viewer. I am using the PDF Tools SDK which I got from http://docu-track.com/download/PDFT4SDK.zip. I had gotten the most recent version about 2 o...

Application Error

Howdy, I am using PDF-Tools 4 in a VB6 application running in COM+ on a website and am getting the following 2 errors generated in the Application Event log. This application takes tif images and generates PDF's from them. Do you have any idea what would be causing this? Its blowing past my error ha...

Re: How to open a PDF

Well, its a little different than that but I think I get your point. But not sure how to accomplish it. The las thing I need to do use the pcxlib to copy the pdf from memory to a stream. How do I get pages from an existing document over to one created in memory?

Thanks

Re: How to open a PDF

Ok, I think I figured out the answer to my question ... I have to use the XCPro library calls instead of the PXCLib calls. This prompts for another question. Can you mix calls between the two libraries? I need to use the PXC_WriteDocumentToIStream after the file has been opened and manipulated. From...

How to open a PDF

Howdy All, Am I missing something or is there no way to open an existing PDF and make changes to it? I've look through the help file and I don't see anything. When I try and do a search of the forum with "How to open a PDF" it tells me those terms are too common and it won't do the search....

Re: Blank pages in PDF from Tiff

Yes I do have all those files in the application folder. I originially was missing FM40base.dll but put it out there before I generated these files. It made no change. I am attaching 01690001.pdf which is a two page PDF with blank pages that should contain pages 01690001 and 01690002 of the original...

Re: Blank pages in PDF from Tiff

Victor here is sample code. I used v4 dll's and still got a blank pdf for these image. Just to confirm that I was using the v4 DLL's I viewed a document that doesn't have the problem and got the trial seals at the tops of the page and otherwise the document looked fine. Private Sub TiffsToPDFPXC(asF...

Re: Blank pages in PDF from Tiff

Victor I can provide code but before I do can you double check. I was told that this problem existed in the v3 of the components ... see the following link:

Blank pages in PDF from Tiff

howdy, I am having problems with tiff images coming up with blank pages in PDF's. I was using v3 and was told in a posting that there were known problems with v3 and that moving to v4 would fix my problem. I purchased an upgrade and installed the new files and am still having the same problems. I ha...

Re: PXC_WriteDocumentToIStream

That's good to hear. Because the sample vbExamp's example declare file (common.bas) does not have it in it. I will take the declare that I have existing and use that one.

Thanks

PXC_WriteDocumentToIStream

Howdy,

I just upgraded from v3 to v4 of the PDF-Tools SDK and PXC_WriteDocumentToIStream is not in v4. What is the replacement function for this?

Thanks
