Hi there,
on some computers the position of pdf annotation is (always) placed on a wrong position. Other annotations (i.e. textboxes) or stamps are correct.
On the attached example the mouse click was on the head of the arrow.
OS: Windows 7|8
Screen resolution: Default 100%
PDFViewer-Version: 2.5.320
Any hints?
Regards
PM

Re: Wrong position of annotations
Can it have something to do with "Regional Settings", especially with the Decimal symbol (point/dot instead of comma or vice-versa)?
I do not immediately find coordinates or positioning information when verifying the properties of Sticky Notes, but the problem could be linked to that.
Maybe, if possible, post an example PDF to this forum (one that gives problems on particular computers)?
Best regards.

Re: Wrong position of annotations
Hello oskpm,
You have posted in the Viewer SDK section - are you integrating our Viewer control inside your project or is this happening with the end user Viewer as well?
Please note that the Viewer, and it's SDK are no longer developed, so it is unlikely we will fix any bugs (apart from maybe severe security vulnerabilities in the unlikely event such are ever discovered), so we would recommend you to consider moving to the Editor/Editor SDK instead.
Willy's questions are also relevant - so please try to answer all of the above inquiries!
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Wrong position of annotations
See attached File. Regional settings are "standard"
Opening it with Adobe Reader differs from PDFExchangeViewer.

Re: Wrong position of annotations
Hi oskpm,
Thanks for that, however it's still not clear if you're using an SDK or the end user application; can you please clarify?

Re: Wrong position of annotations
Hello oskpm,
Thanks for the confirmation.
Unfortunately the Viewer SDK is no longer developed - so even if this is a bug with the SDK itself - it is unlikely to get fixed, so please consider downloading and testing the Editor SDK:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/produc ... editor-sdk
Which should handle your annotations better.
Let us know how that works for you!
Regards,
Stefan
