Hello,
I have created an individual PDF form with Adobe LifeCycle Designer 8 with Radio Buttons (Yes, No). In case that a user marks on of the Radio Buttons it is not possible to "uncheck" / clear them so that one of them will stay selected. For that I integrated a Button that clears this special Radio Button Group. The Button is set to the Action "Click" and uses the following JavaScript Code:
- Using this PDF form with Acrobat Reader (latest version) the button does what it should do: Clear the radio buttons.
- Using the form with PDF XChange Editor (version 5.5 Build 316.0 with licence) it happens nothing when clicking the button - radio button stays checked.
In preferences -> JavaScript the Option "activate JavaScript actions in general" is checked (standard).
thanks for your help. No I can't post this special PDF because of some personal content but I can create a new one and post. I will do it next week. Thanks again and have a nice weekend.
are there any news relating my problem? We need to work with some forms using buttons. If there is no chance to use the buttons in PDF XChange Editor we unfortunately have to use Acrobat Reader although we purchased the Editor and would like to use it generally.
I checked with the guys in the European office - but it turns out we would need a colleague from the Head Office in western Canada to take a look as well. I have now forwarded that to the correct person and we will see how to improve the Editor's behaviour with such forms.
Problem confirmed and we've made a ticket in our internal system so that we can resolve this in a timely manner: #3404: Editor 316.1: Java Script Button does not work
As soon as there are any news in the ticket - I will post them here.
