XCHANGE Editor printing extreme thick lines

today PDF-Xchange editor is printing old and new files with extreme fat thick lines.

tried different printers.
when opening the same file with Adobe Viewer, prints are normal.

any idea?

Thanks for your post.
Which build of the Editor do you have installed? You can check that via Help -> About in the Editor itself.

Also - is your device using PCL or PS drivers? If it has both options - can you try printing through both and see if the result is the same?

Version 6.0 (Compiled 317.1)

I only use PCL 6 drivers.

Found the cause, recently the print server was renewed and with new drivers.
Printer drivers on the new server have been updated:
from HP Universal Printing PCL 6 version 61.112.1.9321 => 61.190.1.21178

because the old print server is still availale (for a short time), I can compare all the settings, but could not find a difference.

Thanks for that - It prints correctly for me, so it would appear to be specific to your printer. Can you please provide the make and model of your printer, as well as a direct download link to the specific drivers you're using?

Hi Will,

it is a HP 3015N Laserprinter.
but it is the HP Universal Printing PCL 6 version 61.190.1.21178 that makes that PDF-Xchange prints fat lines.

All programs are printing normal with this driver, only PDF-Xchange gives this problem.
As I said in my first message, when i open the same PDF with Adobe Viewer, the lines are printed normal!

It appears that this is already a known issue that appears to be specific to HP drivers. The internal development ticket for this issue is RT-3685, so please quote this ticket or reply directly to this thread when requesting updates.

I have the same issue after upgrading HP driver to newer version. Seems now we have to find and add a workaround for their bug

The problem is in HP drivers as they do not scale line width properly in MM_ANISOTROPIC mode.

We will try to make a workaround for the next build but cannot promise now as these changes will require intensive testing...

Just wondering if there's any update on this - print as picture works but it does get quite pixellated.

Currently I'm just using Microsoft Edge when printing but would be convenient to be able to print from the same viewer!

Build 319 (should be available early next week) has a workaround for new HP drivers. Also, it has hidden option that can control how to specify line width for printing - in device units (wrong drivers) or in logical units (correct drivers).

Unfortunately, HP does not respond to our message left on their support forum but hope they will fix their drivers soon as it is 100% their fault, and we are not alone who experiencing this issue.
