Is it doable to save a polyline comment for later use?

Post by coba »

Hello there!

Simple question:
Is it doable to save a polyline comment for later use, so that it won't be necessary to draw the same again every time I need it?

Thanks in advance,
coba

Hello Coda,

Thank you for the post. Please try adding the Polyline annotation to a file with no other comments or annotations, then go to Comment> Export comments to data file.

You should then be able to import the comment via Comments> Import Comments.

I hope this helps!
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Hello Patrick!

I appreciate your prompt response! And yes, it helped just fine! Thank you.
Although it isn't faster than drawing it again, it gives the important advantage of uniformity.
If there is a way to save a polyline comment as an option in the toolbar (which is what I had in mind in the first place, and it would save time), please let me know. If not, maybe it's worth a consideration for future implementation.
Again, thank you for your advice!

Best regards,
Coba (with a "b" )

You can also consider to use a transparent "stamp" for this, in PDF-XChange Editor, although it is not quite the same as a comment:

Hi guys,

Cheers Willy :D

Coba - We'll pass along the suggestion for consideration, but for now the methods offered by Patrick and Willy are really the only ways.

Cheers,

Hello all!

Thank you Willy for your helpful suggestion. It meets both the criteria of uniformity and that of saving time!
In this regard, I 'd say: comment/stamp - tomāto/tomäto! :) So, I' ll stick to that!
Thank you Will for passing along my suggestion.

Best regards,
Coba

Not a problem :)

For clarification: a stamp is a type of comment (comments are also known as annotations).
