Feature Request: Copy or Create a Menu

Post by JosephG »

In the Editor, I can, for instance, drag an existing menu onto a new toolbar. However, I would appreciate the option to add, let's say, the file menu to multiple toolbars. Currently, all I can do is drag the file menu from one toolbar to another, instead of adding it to different toolbars. Also, if possible, the option to create a new drop down menu would be great. Thanks for your consideration.

While "Customize toolbars" is active:

1) Intuitively I tried to "copy" the File menu, by keeping pressed the CTRL key and then drag-and-drop it to one of the other toolbars. This copy works ! Additional copies of the File menu to different other toolbars: works too !

2) In the same way, I copied the File menu to the menu toolbar itself, to create a second instance of it. This works !
Finally, I modified the copy of the File menu in that second instance (removing and/or adding items). This works too !

Amazing ?

Note: renaming the title of the copied menu from "File" to something else does NOT work.

Best regards.

Hi Willy! :D

That's really cool! I am not sure when that was implemented, but I am happy you have discovered this.

Thank you for posting your findings!
