Portable version no longer opens files in one instance

Post by Ciberian »

It appears the PDFX Editor Portable version 6.x ability to open the program in one single program instance has been removed.

For example, when double-clicking on three separate PDF files, PDFX Editor Portable opens three separate program instances, one program instance for each PDF file instead of one program instance containing all three PDF files (isn't that what tabs are for?).

If PDFX is already open, clicking on a PDF file opens a new PDFX program instance. The previous behavior in version 5.x opened all PDF files in a single instance. Nearly every editor, PDF or other type that I can think of, defaults to a single program instance unless the program specifically provides the option for multiple instances. We prefer using the portable version and a single instance of the program with proper Windows file type association to PDFX as the default program (which can easily be set in Windows).

We would therefore request this option be re-instated.

Thanks.
