Hello dxcarnadi,
Please try to right click on any of the toolbars that are currently visible, and select the "Customize Toolbars..." option at the bottom.
In the new Window that will open Click on the "Menu" toolbar, and then click the "Reset" button at the top.
Regards,
Stefan

Hello
Reset button at the bottom ... not at the top.
Please see the numbered screenshots.... from 1 to 4.
The reset doesn't change anything.
BTW .. where can I read about how to manipulate those "small triangles" to move f.e. the menu bar?
Thank you.

Hello dxcarnadi,
Are you using the latest build?
As on my machine - the reset button is definitely at the top: And the one at the bottom is the Reset All - which is not recommended if only one toolbar has to be sorted.
Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks dxcarnadi,
That's a bit older - so I would recommend you to update to 322.7 if your license allows (or you don't have one).

Stefan

Apologies for nto starting with trying out the obvious things first!

Hello dxcarnadi,
So I see you got it back.
I see you have it placed on the right hand side of other toolbars.
If you want it back at it's default position - you can move it there as needed when the Customize Toolbar window is open.
Cheers,
Stefan

Hello
I think .. we (you and I) don't understand each other....
Your method/solution moves the misplaced menu toolbar NOT to the "default" place.
But .. never mind .. I 'can' manipulate "the small triangle" to move the menu toolbar horizontally to the third line. See picture.
I don't know how to move it to the first line. But now it is better.

Re: Menu Bar accidentally misplaced. How .. back to original place?
Hello,
I think you should move the mouse pointer upon the grey little points, just before "File" (= the first item in the menu bar).
You will see that the mouse pointer changes in a pointer with four arrows.
Then press and maintain the left mouse button and drag the menu bar just below the window title bar(= just below "PDF-XChange Editor").
The insertion bar should take the whole width of the window (see 'print screen' in attachment).
At that moment, release the mouse button.
I hope this helps?

Re: Menu Bar accidentally misplaced. How .. back to original place?
Hello dxcarnadi and Willy,
Yes - it is definitely possible to mvoe the toolbar back to it's original place.
Make sure to grab the main menu toolbar, and start dragging it - and you should see something like this: Then once your mouse is at the correct place above the second toolbar - you will see this: And if you now release the mouse - your toolbar will be back where it should be.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Menu Bar accidentally misplaced. How .. back to original place? SOLVED
Hello
Before .. at just below "PDF-XChange Editor" I looked for an empty docking place .. but my eyes could not find any.
I didn't know that such "docking place" appears (from nowhere!) .. when I near just below "PDF-XChange Editor" with the "cross".
And then I just let the menu toolbar fall .. into place. See picture
Thank you to both of you ... till next problem ...

@dxcarnadi
Good to know that your problem has been solved !
@Tracker Software support
Some publicity for the Tracker Software on-line documentation and help site for PDF-XChange Editor V6 might be useful:
About "Exploring the User Interface"
https://help.pdf-xchange.com/pdfxe6 ... ce_ed.html
Scroll down a bit that page, and the information is right there ...
The Menu Toolbar can be repositioned as desired. Hover the pointer ...
Note:
From what we have learned via dxcarnadi's problem is that a small word of additional information on "how to restore the menu toolbar at its original location", might be useful. I have searched the Knowledge Base, but could not find that information neither.

Re: Menu Bar accidentally misplaced. How .. back to original place?
Yes, you are correct, the "reset" of a toolbar or menu only restores the original icons or entries, but not the original position within the window.
For this, you have to go via the Edit-menu > Reset settings... and only check/activate the "Common" check box and click OK.
Best regards.
