Dear Team,
I would like suggesting features found handy in other Apps, I like the rich work done on this App PDF Xchange and it's speedy launches.
1 - There should be a Text Viewer mode to only show text on the opened pdf pages (feature in fox-it reader)
2 - There should be a feature to save the pdf file with forms etc. as flat pdf i.e. removing the objects visibility (feature found in nitro pdf Save As Flattened pdf)

Re: Features Suggestion - Text format and Flattened PDF
Hi fasfas,
thanks for the suggestions,.
Regards the text only mode - I am not familiar with the Foxit feature, I assume it is like Firefox's "reader view"?
Regards the flattening - we do have thhis feature already. When you flatten comments you have the option to also decide what to do with form fields, flatten, remove or leave unchanged
hth

Re: Features Suggestion - Text format and Flattened PDF
Hi
am looking for a way same as it's possible to do flatten for comments and text
i would do the same for pictures i included into the file
It's possible for the other reader, to take snapshot of those pictures
but I don't want it to be an object withing the file, where it could be saved directly and/or edited
I have tried to include the pictures as stamp and as content item, but both doesn't help
even if I sanitize the document, it doesn't do the required job
however, one try, through word document, picture included, then i saved (withing Word) as PDF file,
open the file through PDF-XChance editor, you will find the included picture as objective
then you could do sanitize for the file,
then yes, it works
is it possible to be done directly PDF-Xchange Editor?

Hello Sepp,
Could you please provide a copy of the original document and that document that shows how you would like the final result to appear? With examples we can likely find a way to achieve this within our software alone.
Kind regards,

Hello Sepp,
The image on page 2, that you have used to show how you want the image to appear afterwards, is a collection of "objects". Unfortunately it is not possible to convert a single image into a series of objects like this with our software.
If you wish to prevent content from being selected and copied, you will need to use the "Security" function offered in the Document properties (Ctrl+D) to prevent copying.
The Sanitize feature only redacts content that can be searched, such as phone numbers and credit card numbers, while flatten will only convert comments and the like into Base content, which Images already are, so neither of these features are intended to affect your image regardless.

Re: Features Suggestion - Text format and Flattened PDF
Thanks Daniel,
with security, there will be a need for password, right?
i though the idea, is to make the image as part of the background, similar to the watermark,
any how, am not sure if this is dependent on type of inserted picture, as if JPG has different treatment than PNG
am sure, one time it worked with me, by saving from MS word then doing it through pdf xchange
i will try doing it again, and share with you feedback

Re: Features Suggestion - Text format and Flattened PDF
Hello sepp planzer,
When you set the security up - there are two passwords that can be specified.
One is 'user password' - and if you set that one up - only someone who has the password can open the file.
The second is the 'owner password' and this one will be needed to make changes to a secured PDF file.
So if "user password" is empty - a recipient will be able to open the file without having to know any passwords, and won't be able to change the security settings unless they know the 'owner password'.
Regards,
Stefan
