Can't reinstall PDF Xchange Editor
I was having a problem with Thumbnails, so I decided to uninstall then reinstall the program. I'm getting an error message that says: "The installer has insufficient privileges..." etc. I am the one that paid for and installed the program, there's no other administrator. What can I do to reinstall? Help - I need this pdf program to do my work!

Re: Can't reinstall PDF Xchange Editor
I restarted my laptop and I was able to download the program, so disregard prior post.

Re: Can't reinstall PDF Xchange Editor
Update failed before last restart. It resumed on its own after restart, but then displayed the "insufficient privileges" error message as described above. It seems to have uninstalled the version of PDF-XChange Editor that I had without checking for the privilege problem. Brilliant! Now what do I do? I am logged in as an admin, just like the OP.

Re: Can't reinstall PDF Xchange Editor
Hello Researchguy007,
Apologies for the delay!
Depending on the exact error message this could be one of two issues.
A)
The updater likely does not have rights to our program data folder. This sometimes happens when the first time the program is run is in administrative mode, or if windows decides to lock down the folders. To resolve this issue, Locate the following folder, and delete it:
"c:\ProgramData\Tracker Software"
B) If you see an Error message like the following: Please See the steps in this article: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... rinstaller
Kind regards,
