Can't select multiple objects SOLVED

I'm building a PDF fillable form from scratch.

My page includes:
- text
- form text fields
- form images
- lines

Once the objects are on the page, I'm trying to select several of them at once to move them.

If I hold the control key (I'm on Windows) and click on two objects they get temporarily grouped together. If I try to add a 3rd, sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. Doesn't matter if I'm combining different object types or not.

What is blocking my ability to grab more than 2 objects?

They are all on the same layer.

If you are running an older build, there have recently been some bugs which should have been resolved preventing multi-select, but it should also be noted that different content types cannot be sleected at the same time. In practice, Base content (text, images, and shapes) are one type, comments (highlights, stamps, typewriter tools, measurements, etc) are another, and form fields would be the third. you cannot select a form field, and a comment at the same time, much like you cannot select base content alongside a comment.

If you are sure the multiple objects you are trying to select are all the same content type, than you should be able to select more. If you can reproduce this issue in the current release (build 385), please send us a copy of the document, and a Gif or short video indicating the content you are trying to select, so we can attempt to reproduce it.

I was several releases behind. Ran update and now I can multi select!

Hello Rob,

Thank you for the provided video.

It looks like you are selecting annotation objects and then trying to select base content text. As my colleague already advised this is not possible.

Please take a note of your Comment and Content panes when selecting you will see that the "Address" text object that you are trying to select is not on the same level.

In this case one solution is to flatten the selected Comments - this will convert them to base content and will allow you to select them with the other text objects.

All of the Text elements were a copy/paste from the first one I entered.
So I'm pretty sure they are all the same element type.
