Register PDF Exchange Editor on Virtual Desktop Infra.

Post by ashburton district council »

Hi,

I added PDF Exchange Editor 6 to our base Windows 8.1 image, Registered our 250 seat license and Sysprepped like normal.
Deployed 100 computers, however all machines show unlicensed.

Can anyone help me understand how to license effectively in a VDI environment?

We used Microsoft VDI.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the post - I'm not a sys. admin., so please excuse my ignorance and correct me if I'm completely wrong, but am I right in understanding that sysprepping prepares a single image that is then deployed to all users? If so, then you will need to follow the instructions in the following KB article:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... erver-farm

The registry keys for the licenses are encrypted with a machine specific GUID, so they will need to be stored as unencrypted before you will be able to successfully deploy the licenses.

Cheers,
