Hi
With PDF-Xchange/PDF-Tools is there the ability to right-click on (for example) a Word file on the desktop or in File Explorer and select "Convert to PDF"?
I can't see this option in the context menu. It's a feature that's available with Adobe Acrobat. Is there something I need to configure or should I post this as a feature request?
We have PDF-XChange Editor Plus (6.0 (Build 322.4) & PDF-Tools 6.0 (Build 317.1)
Thanks in advance
Tim

Hi Tim,
welcome to the Tracker forums.
While the Editor and Tools will not give yo a "Print to PDF" option, it will give you "Open in PDFXChange Editor" :
You can also drag'n'drop Word files onto the Editor to open them, or use File --> New Document --> Combine files into a Sngle PDF
Word needs to be installed for this to function.

Hi Paul
Thanks for the quick reply.
I'd love to add my +1 to request this feature.
Our users don't have the "Open in PDFXChange" option in the context menu.
I'm not sure why it's missing.
Environment is Windows 10 Enterprise (1703) and Office 365 2016 (1609 Build 7369.2151) with PDF-XChange Editor Plus (6.0 (Build 322.4) & PDF-Tools 6.0 (Build 317.1)
Thanks again.

Re: Right-click on file to create PDF? (on desktop or file explorer)
Hi Tim,
322.4 should have that option. Did you install ell the defaults? This capability is part of the "Shell Extensions" that are installed by default with the Editor.
I can run a test of Win 10 enterprise with Office 2016 in our sandbox. It will take a day or so to set up and do however I expect the Open With to work.
Do you know if the installer was modified when this was deployed?

Hi Paul
I'm just checking how PDF-XChange is deployed here. There seems to be some confusion over which version we have licensed. I'll get back to you when I've worked out what we're doing!
Thanks for the help.
