My own printer name

Hi,
For one of my customer I need to meet the following conditions:
1. PDF printer name should reflect the functionality of my applications (save/archive pdf to database table in my application) in the language of the user
2. The PC user is allowed only that a virtual printer (internal firm security policy)

I have a license for the PDF-Xchange Pro 4 SDK. I need to pay any additional royalties that I could meet the requirements of my customer?

Hi,

Once installed - you can revise the printer name using any method you choose - but if you wish to use the silent installation methods provided for technical reasons - you can only append text to the first 12 characters of the required name (PDF-XChange ) .

So long as you utilise the PDF-XChange driver programmatically from your application and do not exceed 100,000 end user desktop installs - and follow the license Terms and Conditions in general - there are no extra fee's payable.

But as with any product - do read the T&C's to fully understand what you may and may not do - or email us with a clear and concise, and specific outline of what your application will do and we will advise appropriately

Is it possible to remove the installed printer (silent installation)
and used only printer generated using this function?

no - the primary install must always be present.
