On one computer I have a problem since a view days with pdf XChange Viewer protable: pdf-files are no longer displayed. They are opened, in the tab the filename is displayed and you can scroll up and down but the picture is simply grey.
The on the same computer installed XChange Viewer works flawlessly.
Does anybody recognize such a behaviour?

Welcome to our forums.

Please try to reset your Viewer's settings and check if this solves the problem. You can do this from Main menu -> Edit -> Reset all settings to defaults.

Please note that resetting your settings will erase all custom settings that you might have. We recommend backing up your settings prior to resetting them from Edit -> Export all Settings to data file.

If the reset fails to solve the problem, you can restore your settings from Edit -> Import all Settings from data file.

I suspect that there is something wrong with the resource.dat file of your portable Viewer. Please try to download the latest version and check if it works properly:

sorry I didn't mention: I already did: I installed the latest version. I also copied the files from another computer where it works fine.
The problem is the same on all userprofiles on the machine.
I also fixed the registry with ccleaner-software. Nothing...

I solved the problem!!! It was a software that installed a mirror driver on the computer: Dame Ware remote control! When I uninstalled the mirror driver the software worked properly again.
